Information is the key to be able to stand out from the competition.
Today’s world is a lot different from what it was years ago. Today, everybody is looking for information online – they go to the websites, they look around, they look at your Facebook page, they look at your social media, they look everywhere to find the right sort of information.
To find out about you or if your process is right for them. So you need to give them good quality information that addresses their fears, their frustrations, their wants and their aspirations.
Buyers Journey
As I’ve said, today’s world is a lot different.
Years ago, you can get away with sending a flyer out but today you’ve got to put people and understand that there’s a Buyers Journey… and that a Buyers Journey is made up of Future buyers, Soon buyers, and Now buyers.
The Now buyers only tend to make up 1-5%. So you got to be able to give them the right information for where they are on the Buyers Journey.
If they are right at the beginning of the Buyers Journey, you’re looking at the benefits of ownership. When they are in the middle, you are looking at common objections they might have with the products or service.
And then towards the end, when they’re making a decision, you give them a guide to be able to choose you over your competition.
So the information is the key, information’s key to be able to stand out from the crowd. You got to have a website, you got to have presence, you got to have a marketing presence nowadays.
As I’ve said, it’s different from what it was years ago – you can get away with an ad in the yellow pages, now, that’s not quite so true.
When you move them along the Buyers Journey, you know, you got to have a website so they can download a free report and that’s another thing – if you don’t have a website, in today’s world you’re going to be losing business.
You got to have a website, and the website is going to talk to them as a person, addressing their fears, frustrations, wants and aspirations… not talking about what we do and what we do best, it’s about THEM.
Information is the Key
Information is the key be able to stand out from the crowd. Give them the right information, the information that showcases you as the person that they need to do business with.
Use the other tools, like the social media tools, to be able to help you grow your business and stand out from the pack.
