Here’s some useful tips on phone etiquette…
When answering the office phone or mobile with an unknown or a client number, here’s what to do.
So for example if an unknown or client number is calling my mobile phone, it will be something along the lines with me answering, “Natasa speaking, how can I help?”
If they are calling my office phone, it will be something along the lines of, “Thanks for calling Builders Profits, this is Natasa!” Always remember to smile.
What Not to Do
Do not ever say, “hello!” or “what?!” when answering your phone. It is just plainly rude and people would not want to deal with people like that. I’m sure none of you would do that in the first place, but it’s a big warning and a big “no-no”.
Always Remember to Return Calls
This demonstrates reliability and credibility not only to your business but to your employees and to yourself.
Did you know that 84% of your message is your tone of voice? So remember, try not to sound too aggressive or too pushy.
Try and test it out, it might be worth a shot. Good luck!
