Take note of how they dressed for their interview… Did they come in with the appropriate attire? Remember that your new recruit will be representing you and your business and how they present themselves will directly impact your business – especially if they are dealing directly with your customers!

Do you feel that they possess Honesty and Integrity?

These are two important values you need in your team, as trust in your team is essential for your business to grow. Without trust, you will never feel confident to “let go” and trust them to do their job right and look after your customers properly.

Do they possess the skills you need and do they have the right attitude?

Having the right skill set is important, but the right attitude is critical and often overlooked. You can find many highly qualified people, that have done the courses and got the pieces of paper saying they’re great at their job, but if they have the wrong attitude they will be more trouble than they are worth.

Remember when choosing team members for your business, skills can be taught if needed, but attitude has to be right from the start!
